If you have a sweet coolant smell inside the vehicle or you carpets are damp then the heater matrix is likely at fault.
Often it is not the actual heater matrix but the O rings that fail causing the leak but its well worth replacing the heater matrix at the same time as you need to remove the dashboard to do the seals.
The matrix can also become clogged and blocked over time leading to poor heat inside the cabin.
The heater matrix is located inside the dashboard.
The matrix measures approximately 340mm x 160mm.
